New Years Eve

We had a pretty quiet New Years Eve. A couple of my friends came over and we fixed some goodies. Josh had a party to go to - he is growing up!! Earlier in the day, our neighbor gave Angel her Christmas presents - a pair of Spiderman PJs and a Spiderman coloring set. Of course, she loved them. She had to wear her PJs that night. Notice the web on the sleeves.

More visiting and heading home

Today we are set to leave and head back to FL but not before we got a chance to visit with two of my aunts and their husbands. It was great to see them and we wish we could have spent more time together. We will see them again soon. Yes they are in matching sweaters - mom gave to them last Christmas so they planned to wear them at the same time.

Visiting with cousins!!

Today some of our family came over and we went to lunch. My cousin has a daughter who is 4, so Angel and Abigail were able to play together for a bit. We enjoyed seeing everyone.

Visiting with Michele

Today we visited with Michele and her two kids. Michele and I have been friends since about 3rd grade - were in Girl Scouts together as well as hanging around together for years. We are always excited to see them when we are both in town.

Christmas Day

Believe it or not - Angel slept until almost 9:00 am on Christmas morning. I think she was tired from the night before. She was up kind of late and then got hungry in the middle of the night and wanted a snack. Little did she know that while she ate a snack in the kitchen, Santa had already visited. She was so excited once she did wake up - asking "Did Santa come?" I had to quickly get my camera and camcorder ready before she went into the Living Room. She got lot's of goodies (Santa visited Josh too but he does not like his picture put on the blog too often). Based on how much she has played with them, I think her Spiderman Skateboard and Princess cash register are her favorites! We had Christmas lunch later in the day and just a relaxing day all around.

All her loot.

Christmas Eve

We went to the Christmas Eve candlelight services at my Mom's church tonight. Afterwards, each of us opened a couple of presents.

Her Barbie car!

Cookies for Santa

Putting out the reindeer treats

Angel made reindeer treats at school so we brought them to Gmas house. On Christmas Eve, she sprinkled the treats in the yard for Santa's reindeer.

The Making of the Gingerbread House

Today we traveled to NC to be with my Mom and sister for Christmas. Once we got there and got settled in, it was time to make the Gingerbread House. I had bought it several days before but we had no time to make it until now. Angel had been asking to make it as soon as she saw it and was so excited. It was fairly easy (unlike one I remember making with Josh years ago). I thought it turned out pretty good!!

Ready to get started
It's coming along!
Beautiful!!and the house is nice too.

Cookie/Ornament Exchange Party at Gigi's!!!

Gigi throws the best parties and the girls always have such a good time. Today we attended the cookie and ornament exchange party. As usual, the house was decorated beautifully. The girls enjoyed loading their buckets up with cookies and exchanging ornaments. Us "older" girls exchanged ornaments too. Afterwards, we ate and the girls played. Upon leaving, Angel promptly fell asleep and slept through picking up her brother and all the way home!

Lights

After the Princess Party, we went with C and K to see the lights at a nearby town. We attempted to go on a horse and buggy ride, but the wait was too long and it was getting late. So instead, we had ice cream and let the girls run around in the town square.

Princess Party

Today we attended Annalisa's 4th birthday party. It was a princess theme and all the girls were asked to come dressed as their favorite princess. Angel dressed a Snow White and she loved it!! We arrived to see a beautiful Princess carriage in the front yard. The girls were able to sit inside and watch a princess movie. It was a BIG hit. Later, an actual Princess came and played games with the girls, as well as face painting! Of course, my tomboy wanted a pirate on her face. All the little princesses had a wonderful time.

This and that...

Angel's class had "Pajama Day" today. I had already bought these for her (with a matching robe) for Christmas, but just had to pull them out since they are so cute - love the gingerbread houses on them. She will get the robe Christmas eve.

Angel wrapping the gift to her classroom - a neat idea that her teacher's do - instead of the kids giving gifts to each other, they give a gift to their classroom. Something that the kids can use in class.

Beautiful card that Angel made for me. I love it.

Livie's party

Today we went to Livie's 4th birthday party. Angel immediately wanted to dress up - I see a pretty blue Cinderalla dress in her future. She needs one of these at home!!

Nutcracker

Today was a busy day. We started with the ROTC competition that Josh was in. At least it was in town, so we made our way to the other side of town and to watch. Josh and his team did GREAT and got second place in their division. We then went and met C and K for lunch and then posed for pictures at the Christmas tree in the square. The girls got some of their energy out before heading over to see the Nutcracker. It was great - we had great seats and Angel really seemed to be getting into it. She stayed awake until about the last 15 minutes. It was a beautiful performance. Afterwards, we headed over to see the big Christmas tree and had dinner. It was C's birthday also, so we helped her celebrate! It was a busy and fun day.
