It has been a month already!!

I can't believe it has been over a month since we met Angel. The time has passed so fast and she just fits in so perfectly. We have stayed busy since coming home. Grandma and Aunt Melissa were here for a couple of weeks. We had a lot of fun with them, shopping, eating out, going to the pool. We celebrated Mom's birthday while they were here. We have gotten together with several friends and will be traveling to NC this weekend to see some more friends and family.

Angel loves the pool. We go almost every day. It is hard to believe that this is the little girl who did not want to take a bath. Now she loves anything to do with water. She is also attending VBS at River of Life UMC this week. She loves it!!! I am so happy.
Angel has visited the cleft palate team, who is saying that she will probably not need anymore surgery for a while. She will need speech therapy, which we are starting. She is such a trooper through all of her appointments.

Update!!

I just wanted to give everyone an update. We are doing really well. Angel is adjusting really well and is such a trooper. Our days and nights are on track now and she is sleeping from around 9:00 pm till 8:00 am. She is such a sweetie and has such a personality!! She seems to be thriving on the attention she is getting from all of us. It is amazing how well she is doing with all she has been through the last couple of weeks.

Since we have been home, we have been to the pediatrician, where she had to get 5 shots, and to the lap to have blood drawn. This is just a precautionary measure. I was worried that she would not do well, but again, she is so brave. We have our first visit to the Cleft Palate team next week. We have gone shopping, out to eat, to take her older brother to the dentist twice, etc. She loves to ride in the car now and the minute I say, "Are you ready?", she starts walking toward the door.

I want to apologize for not responding to each email that has been sent to me. As you all can guess, things are alot busier now. But I really do appreciate all of the good wishes and I hope to see everyone soon.
