Mother's Day

After church, we attended a Mother's Day Breakfast. Later we headed down to St. Augustine for a little while. We didn't stay very long - didn't want to wear Angel out while she is recovering. But we went to the Oldest School House, the fort, the Oldest Drug Store and of course, had ice cream. It was really hot but fun.

Mother's Day Kindergarten style

Today Angel class invited the mom's in for a Mother's Day celebration. It was so special. As each Mom arrived, their child escorted them to their chair. Then the kids sang two songs. Afterwards, the teachers read a story that had all of us sniffling. We then made a small craft with our child. They also presented us with a portrait of us and a "mom" recipe and fact sheet. It was quite amusing. Did you know I am 30 inches tall? I am so glad I am able to attend these kind of things for Angel. It is so special. I am so happy to be her mom.
