ABC oh baby!

Tonight Angel and the rest of the kindergarten gave the ABC performance. It was so cute. There was a little song and dance for each letter (all 26 of them) as well as a couple of songs at the end. One went...ABC oh baby, DEF oh baby,...it was so cute. They all did so well and remembered their songs and dances. Angel was the letter S - Sneaky Snake! I am so glad that she likes to do this kind of thing and is not extremely shy. She was so proud and I am so proud of her. This pic is not that great - trying to work on it to make it better.

Really no training wheels

Really no training wheels now!! She just took off. Now when she gets her bigger bike for her birthday, hopefully she can still pull it off. I am sure she will be able to.

No training wheels

One afternoon last week, we were outside and Angel was riding her bike. I asked her if she wanted me to take her training wheels off and try to ride like a big girl. Of course, the daredevil said yes. We took them off and she tried for a while and did pretty good. Today she wanted to try again. She did really well, riding on her own for several feet at a time. Today we met several girls at the park to play. They had a ball and we especially loved A's wings she had purchased yesterday at a butterfly festival.

Another pretty dress

Angel received this cute dress as a baptism present. It also came with a matching doll dress. She received the new doll as a baptism present also. I just love this dress - she wore it to church today.

Book club (at least that's what we call it)

Tonight we had our monthly laugh fest umm I mean book club meeting. I have to say, we were in rare form, some more than others. Laureen was our host and we sat outside under her pergola. The weather was perfect, slight breeze and perfect temp. Once it got dark, we brought out the candles and lit the candelier. It was great. I love being outside and since I work inside all day, this was just a perfect night to me. We all laughed so hard. There was the running joke of the small white chair. Since there were so many people, Laureen brought one of Isabel's small chairs outside, so if anyone had to get up to go use the restroom, they lost their chair and had to sit in the little white chair when they came back. It was really funny that night!!

Josh's Confirmation

Josh did his confirmation on Sunday. It was a beautiful ceremony and I am so proud of him. Completing the requirements for confirmation is not an easy matter. He had to attend CCD classes for the last two years, without missing a significant amount of classes. This past year, candidates were required to have 20 hours of community service, attend two retreats, help with a service project at church, write a letter to the bishop, attend the movie "Passion of the Christ", attend reconciliation, let's see, is there anything I am missing. Parents were also required to attend several meetings. There were over 120 kids in his class, which is amazing to me. Here are some pictures. Afterwards, we had a small get together for him and Angel.

I found this dress for a song at a discount store and thought it was so cute. Never did I think Angel would wear the hat that came with it but she did. Very cute.

Josh's modeling show

I know Josh doesn't like me to post about him but I just have to brag on his modeling show. He took a class over spring break and had the show today. He did so good and was so confident up there. He enjoys it and wants to take the next class. Hey, you never know, maybe he can support his old mom one day. This was after having confirmation practice this morning. He makes his Confirmation tomorrow. This day has been pretty emotional - first going into church this morning, seeing him up there practicing, knowing he is growing up so fast. Time passes way too fast!

Easter afternoon

Easter afternoon our friend Jennifer came over to have lunch and then we all went to our neighbors house for a party. Angel had her third egg hunt of the season - she was in heaven!

This Easter was a very special time for us as Angel was Baptized Saturday night at the Easter Vigil. I also joined the church. It was a beautiful ceremony albeit long, but Angel did great and was very beautiful.

Our week of Spring Break went by way too fast. The week started off rainy and cold but warmed up nicely. We even made it to the pool for the first time this year. The big pool was too cold but the baby pool was just right. We had a girl's day where we went to get pedicures and to lunch at this cute little cafe. In the middle of the week, Grandma and Melissa came down to spend time with us. They are also here to see Angel's Baptism and Josh's Confirmation. Josh spent the week going to a modeling class almost each day. He really enjoyed it and looks forward to the show next week. We spent some time putting together the required outfits he needed, so that kept us busy as well. Angel was missing her friends at school and especially her friend K, who is in China on vacation. But my neighbor's grandkids are in town so she has been busy with them. Saturday there was an Easter egg hunt in the neighborhood, so we headed there and Angel met up with more friends there.

University of National Champions! UNC Tarheels

Tonight our favorite team won the NCAA Championship!!! We are very excited and proud of their good work and sportsmanship. Angel is sporting her very own Tarheels shirt. Being from NC, I have been a UNC Tarheels fan all my life!!

Today we attended an Easter party at our friends house. The girls had tons of fun. They had an Easter egg hunt, did some crafts, ate snacks, played, and lastly and one of their favorites things, silly string!!

Spring Break

The kids are on spring break this coming week so I took off work too. We are not going out of town, which is nice. We will just have some time to hang out, play, just do whatever we want. Angel loves to have time to play games. Here she is putting the Monopoly game together. Today we went to the beach. The weather was perfect and it was relaxing.
