Meeting Grace Lin

Our local FCC group hosted the children's author and illustrator Grace Lin on October 4th. She held 3 presentations for various age groups. We really enjoyed it. Some of the kids have been attending book clubs for kids. They made some quilt squares depicting their favorite Grace Lin book. A few of the crafty moms put the quilt together and we presented it to Grace after the presentations.

Yankees game

We went over to Tampa to see the Yankees play the Rays. We stayed with my friend Lisa.

Book Club

Today the big kids had their book club at Zoey's house. The book was Dumpling Days by Grace Lin. They discussed the book, made dumplings, made a quilt square for a quilt that the group is making for Grace Lin and then went swimming! Great fun.

Basketball

Angel played basketball with the YMCA this summer. It was a really great group of girls and the coaches were great too. She really enjoyed it.
