Halloween

Angel had a big Halloween day. It began with a costume parade at her school. Then her class had a party in the afternoon. Of course, that evening was trick or treating around the neighborhood. Angel picked up on the whole trick or treat process very quickly. She had loads of fun and got a lot of candy!!

Parker Pumpkin Party

Yesterday we attended the annual Parker Pumpkin Party at Gigi's house. Gigi has two beautiful girls from China, Sullivan and Sutton. We had a great time. Several little girls from China were there with their families, as well as other family members. We played some games outside, had snacks and then played inside in the play room. The house was beautifully decorated for Fall. Thanks Parker family, for a great time.

I love Fall!!!

Fall is my favorite time of year!! After a long, hot summer, it is nice to have some cooler temperatures. I love the fall festivals that are happening around town and the pumpkin patches at the local churches. I love seeing the leaves change colors, even if it pales in comparison to most places. Angel loves riding her tricycle outside in the evenings!

Yesterday we attended Kimberly's 3rd birthday party. Kimberly and Angel are from the same place in China, so we feel a very special bond with her and her Mom. We are lucky that we live a mere 20 minutes from each other. The birthday party had a ballerina theme. A "real live" ballerina came and danced with the girls. All the girls were supplied with tutus, crowns and roses. It was a beautiful party.

Fire station play date!!

On October 13th, we went to a play date with fellow FCC members at the local Fire Station #50. The girls had tons of fun. The nice firemen showed the girls around the fire truck and station. They even took a ride in the fire truck with the sirens blasting. Afterwards, we joined everyone at Rina's house and then off to dinner at a wonderful Chinese buffet restaurant. Fun was had by all.

Lucky came to stay

We babysat our friends kitten while they went to London. This is the family who just returned in August with twins from China. Our cat, Miranda, did not take well to the new addition. However, we enjoyed her greatly. Lucky is a sweet kitty.
