I got Travel Approval aka TA!!!

For those of you who are not part of the adoption community, Travel Approval is a very big deal. It means that you have been approved to travel to pick up your child. I came into work on Tuesday to find an email from my agency letting me know that they received my TA!! Unfortunately, the timing is bumping right up against the Trade Fair, which is the last two weeks of April, and another holiday, which is the first full week of May. Then we run up against final exams for Josh, so it is looking like we may travel closer to the middle/last part of May. I am hoping that I will at least have Angel in my arms by her birthday, which is May 14th!!!

Journey To Angel in China

Introducing Angel Rose Xia. She is residing in Yibin SWI, Sichuan province, China. I am Bev and I live in Florida. I am in the process of adopting my daughter from China. I have one bio son who is 13, and always wanted more children. God put it in my heart that adoption was the way to make that happen. After looking into domestic adoption, I was lead to China. One of my good friends has adopted two girls from China, and she is also single. I started the paperchase in the spring of 2006, and was initially going down the traditional path or non-special needs.

However, those plans soon changed as I started learning more about some of the special needs children that were available for adoption. Both my friend and my social worker had adopted daughter's with a special need, so I started looking into what special needs I thought I would be able to handle.
